Yes, I’m THAT mom. I’m the mom that will never buy my kids Apple Jacks or Pop-Tarts for Eggo Waffles for breakfast. I just can’t bring myself to start their day with high doses of sugar and chemicals.
BUT… I am ALSO the mom that let’s my kids eat cookies and popsicles for breakfast. So maybe that makes up for it?!? Not just any cookies or ice cream, of course. I’m talking easy, homemade goodies that are packed with the kinds of nutrition their little bodies’ need.

If you’ve never tried my Anytime Cookies recipe, be sure to check it out. I named them “Anytime” cookies because the ingredients are so healthy that I’d encourage my kids to grab a cookie whenever they’re hungry, even breakfast time. FYI- These cookies freeze well, so I always make a double to triple batch at a time.

But today I want to give you a “non-recipe” for Raw Milk Ice Cream and Popsicles. The only thing better than an easy, healthy recipe is a “NON-recipe”. Why? No measuring involved. This is an eye-ball-it recipe, and it turns out great every time.
The best part? You don’t need an ice cream maker, just a high-powered blender (I have a Vitamix). Dump the ingredients in, turn the blender up slowly, and in less than 5 minutes, you’ve got fresh ice cream!
Side note- If you aren’t sure about Raw Milk yet, read my post where I share the health benefits and safety facts.

Step 1: Skim the Cream off of Raw Milk
This part is easy. I just use a measuring cup to scoop of the top layer of cream from our jug of raw milk. If I’m not ready to make ice cream, I’ll just keep it in the fridge until I’m ready.

Step 2: Fill Blender
Just fill your blender with your ingredients. You’ll need the following:
- Half blender of frozen fruit (we love frozen strawberries, peaches, blueberries, or even a mix of fruits).
- Half blender of cream
- A good drizzle of honey (we use local honey)
- A sprinkle of Stevia (optional if you want to cut back on honey or just make it extra sweet).
- Splash of vanilla extract (optional)

Step 3: Blend It Up
Start your blender of low, then gradually increase power. I use my tamper stick to stir it while it blends to help get it smooth. Let it blend for about 2-3 minutes or until really smooth but still frozen.
If it looks a bit runny, feel free to add more frozen fruit. If it’s too thick to blend, add more cream.

Step 4: Serve!
If you are serving ice cream, just spoon it into bowls! We like to top ours with a few dye-free sprinkles for fun.
If you are making popsicles, pour the ice cream into the molds and allow several hours to freeze firmly.

Final Thoughts
Your family is going to LOVE this recipe! Be prepared to make it all summer long!
